Web Treasure Hunt, Quiz Game & Photoboot

Web app integrated to Aprilia and Moto Guzzi database.

On the occasion of the annual gatherings organized by Aprilia (Aprilia All Stars 2023 @ Misano World Circuit on May 26-27) and Moto Guzzi Open House (MG factory @ Mandelo del Lario on September 8-9).
We were commissioned to design and develop a reusable web app for multiple events, capable of engaging members of the respective communities (“Aprilia@Be A Racer Club” and “Moto Guzzi – The Clan”) in a treasure hunt with quizzes, rankings, and event photo galleries.

integration with Aprilia

Database

The use of the web app is reserved for registered users of the respective communities (“Aprilia #be a racer” and “Moto Guzzi – The Clan”). For this reason, we had to integrate via API with the respective databases already existing on the WordPress platform. Thanks to this integration, registered users can log in using their credentials, and new users can register directly through the web app.

Treasure Hunt & Quiz

The game is played by following clues to find challenges/tests to complete within the event. Once found, players scan the QR code with the web app to start playing and answer questions.
Aprilia opted for a more competitive version of the game than Moto Guzzi, adding a points ranking system. The top scorer would win the opportunity to meet the official Aprilia Moto GP riders.

Photobooth

Upon arrival, each member of the community could have a photo taken of themselves riding their motorcycle, as a souvenir of the event.
The photo booth (10m x 3m) was customized with the key visual of each event. The photos were saved in real time within the web app, in the “Gallery” section, so that they could be easily found and shared on social media.

Backoffice

In addition to the gaming part, we developed the management backoffice for the staff and hostesses.

The backoffice allows staff to manage the quiz questions and answers, create users, and manage translations, in addition to providing live reporting.

Hostesses, thanks to the QR code scanner, can verify in a few seconds whether users are part of the community, if they are entitled to the Gift/Welcome Kit or if they are the winners.
